Bordeaux driving next Saturday?

Hi Guys n Galls.
If anyone can advise me of the state of traffic circumnavigating Bordeaux this Saturday I would be obliged.
We were going to try and get to a hotel south of Bordeaux next Saturday and wonder if we need to leave the day before?

Ray.

Hi, we have just got to Spain last few days and the yellow jackets are very active especially around that area. We had to divert from going that way as the a10 was closed and there were various "road blocks" we ended up going round Angers then on round Poitiers and Limoges. The Motorways were clear but various warnings came up on the signs referring to different ent/exits re vigilants as they called them. Oh top up with fuel as often as you can as they are blockading the supplies. No shortages on way but the French were stockpiling with jerry cans at a few stations. So we had clear run to the peage at Lecautre they were there in numbers and we bluffed our way thru as the barriers were up followed by lots of shouting and horn blowing but luckily they did not persue us, we thought they were unhappy with our dashcam but we found out later from expat that they wanted us to remove our sanef drive thru tag, anyway next day we got thru same peage as they were at the next. Don't know if that app is any good as they are shifting round at random. Good luck.

Thanks Steve.
Yes I saw there were lots of activity on the 'ramps' on and off the A83 and A10. I hope to stay on the motorway as much as possible. I do expect some delays but just hope to crawl through their blocks.

Don’t forget to put your yellow vests on the dash, I’ve read it helps to show support.
Have a good trip.

Thanks Nick & M.
Still trying to get last minute ducks in line. My last minute seems to take days.
Various French say the demonstrations have got less and others say they are saving it till Saturday.

Bloody marvelous. Set off early and arrived in Bordeaux at 15.30 without seeing a yellow jacket. But pissing down all day and 5c might have helped.

Looking at the news Jan they are concentrating up in Paris. Did see some ramshackle camps around the toll booths but not manned.

Daughter who lives near Libourne and crosses A10 twice every day says is now running smoothly.

Hope your journey proceeds well; yellow vest on dash and a few boxes of very cheap chocolate biscuits work well - the cheapie from Intermarche at around 50c a box of 12 can't be bad and ensured we had a smooth trip through - wind down window and offer box to them - surprising how quick they get you through any restrictions s and if not needed, they are perfectly acceptable IMO.

SO A WIN-WIN answer..... 😄👍

Thinking of; Mavis, Ray, Sandra and Albert at this time.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.
