Shame as it was handy for the Fiat Garage who sorted out my throttle valve and EGR problems. Still there are a few more close-by.
Cheers,

I think that's the one we never found! Ended up both times at 43.182542,3.021297 - not official parking but we'd no problem.

We've used it quite often Jean, spent the night in the supermarket car park, with a French plated MH.

Did the usual bonjour thing only to find they were a lovely Irish couple who bought and keep a MH in Carcassonne and fly in to use it. 😀

We've also used it a couple of times along with one down on the beach with a barrier. After our m/h went into limp-home mode in Millau, we trundled slowly to Narbonne Fiat Garage. They diagnosed the throttle valve and ordered one with the the instruction to come back in two days for fitting. This is after Arnold Clark in Elgin had definetly repaired it after having van for two weeks with only 600 miles on the clock.
We ran about locally including Carcassone and stayed at the Aire and also one on the beach with barrier.
We asked at the garage how long to change it out and were told 2hours. Went to Carrefour, had a coffee and returned 1 and a half hours later and they had changed it but now EGR fault. Come back in a couple of days and new EGR fitted but didn't clear the light or limp home mode. Downloaded new software to ECU and that did the trick.
Whilst there, a British couple were replacing the exhaust on their van which had been previously owned by Nigel Mansell who had tweaked the engine a bit!!
Where are you now Jean?

Cheers,
Alan

Hymer Dealers

Hi Jean,
Sorry to hear of your problems but Knowepark Caravans at Livingstone may be able to help. They are Hymer Dealers. Reason I asked your location was because we were at Nairn the day you were at Culloden.
If you had been heading this way, we could offer a driveway with hook-up, water and dumping. Then we could have picked your brains about our trip next year to NI.
Hope you get sorted out.
Cheers,
Alan

Ah, it not the MH boiler that's gone - it's my sister's house boiler! I sleep in the van - nice n toasty! The engineer was out today - needs to get a new circuit board so coming tomorrow at 8.30am. Hope he's quiet!

Sorry we missed you up north! I'd certainly like to help re NI - tho I've done virtually no touring there - saving that for when I'm not able to get across the water!

There's an Irish MH forum you might like to have a look at - Motorhomecraic.com

That's a bit of relief for you. Did your sister join you in the van for a warm up?
Our visit next year is with the C&CC Motorhome National. This year was Scotland at Kelso, Last year was Wales at Chepstow,

Usually a good turn out from Ireland who are hosting it next year.
Cheers,
Alan

No she didn't tho it was offered. She woke with a stinker of a cold this morning and had missed our annual gathering of the cousins 😕 She's on chemotherapy so has a compromised immune system.

Where and when is the C&CC meet?
