New Carrefour Petrol Station at Cite Europe

I've not seen mention on the forums here of the new Carrefour Petrol Station at Cite Europe, so forgive me if I'm adding to old news...but here goes!

The new station is located on the road closest to the A16 (opposite side of the centre to the Motorhome Aire) and is open 24 hours.

The height barrier is 3.5m so available to all but the biggest RV's.

LPG is available but only on the cash kiosk side of the station which is open from 8:30am till 8:00pm.

There is also a new Motorhome service point which provides a handy emptying point before departure home!

If you want water though you'll need a Jeton (Token), which I assume you would acquire from the Kiosk during opening hours.

All-in-all this is a convenient addition to the area especially for those of us who arrive late on the shores of Calais and make do with the motorhome aire at Cite Europe for a few hours shut-eye!

Hope this is of interest to some

Cheers

Andy

PS: There'll be a short video on my YouTube channel later showing the location relative to the Cite Europe Motorhome Aire

Its about time, the original station was underneath the complex so couldn't be used by motorhomes, this might take a lot of business from Auchan at Coquelles.

Anyone have any idea on the price difference between the 2? It's certainly a lot easier to get to than Auchan, particularly when using the train.

I'm going over on Friday evening, and was going to fill up at Auchan. Even if it's slightly more expensive, it's probably the more efficient option.

I filled up on Saturday and paid 1.03 per litre. Not sure what Auchan is at present though.

Just been looking at the coords given by that very helpful chap peejay.

Streetview shows it to be on a roundabout on Boulevard de l'€urope, as you say on the opposite side of the complex to Bvd du Kent where we normally park MHs.

The roundabout has that big arch thing "Bienvenue" and the helpful 2.1m height barrier.

Is the new fuel station off that same roundabout?

If so, very handy as Auchan is quite a slow drag off the M'way and takes one uncomfortably closer to migrantsville.

Yes, that looks like it's the one.

If you look on Google Maps, there is nothing, however, on Bing you can see construction which I'm assuming is the new petrol station.

We are usually going south from the tunnel and drop off the A16 at J31 east of Boulogne.(the N42 to St Omer) to the Auchan on the Commercial centre about 400m from the autoroute.
The fuel is at the western end of the site and you needn't go anywhere near the shop if you don't need supplies.

I like getting fuel there as there are always plenty of disposable plastic gloves and I can top up my supply for the month!

That's useful information, thanks! I'll be doing a fast track trip to the Algarve twice in a week sometime this year (hopefully), first time over 3 days/2 nights, second time over 2 days/1 night.

Anything that can speed up the journey helps!

I think you will find that the building work is the Renault Garage that is allready there , the new fuel station is next to it on that green field , sure I have seen a members post on here or Wildcamping that showed it on his dash cam
