Equihen Plage Aire

Just a heads up for anyone thinking of using the aire at Equihen Plage - it is currently being renovated and the parking has been moved to the entrance to the Car Park and is only suitable for 2 x 6m Vans (3 at a squeeze) There wasnt a lot of room to turn round a 25ft Motorhome once down the track to the parking.
Looks like they are installing entry/exit barriers and landscaped parking bays.
Sorry - didnt take any pics.

If it aint broke - fix it till it is

I think the Equihen authorities have probably got fed up with the large amount of Aire users who use the Aire and don't pay.

Many MHs go very early to avoid paying and the relatively narrow access road Rue de Beurre Fondu gets a lot of use on a busy day.

I'm surprised the Equihen authorities didn't get a better system in place much earlier as they are probably losing hundreds of Euros every week through non collection.

Let's hope the Borne also gets a makeover as well and bring it up to a reasonable standard.

I have a 'soft spot' for Equihen as it was the first Aire we ever used on our first trip to France in a MH about five years ago – okay for an overnight stop but certainly not long term.
