Corsica. Calvi to Corte

Anyone can tell me what the road is like Calvi to Corte then onwards to lower East coast please? Going across in April for a month before heading across to Florence then Croatia for the summer.

Went there last year but albeit not in my MH, hired a kangoo van and drove around the island,
Stunning place but the coast road is narrow with lots of bikers giving it some welly, the road in the middle of the island is wider and much calmer but would miss some of the sites,
We drove down from calvi to Ajaccio then back through the middle,
Hope that's of some help!

Now reitired thank god , looking forward to flying when the weather is good or motorhoming when its not, just like to get away from it all now I can take it easy.

We stayed at Ghisonaccia on a GB Privilege tour and had a coach trip to Corte. The road was fine from Aleria to Corte for the coach. We drove in our Murvi from Bonifacio to Bastia, including going over the Col de Bavella (stunning!) without too much trouble. We had to reverse at the top of the Col because of an advancing tourist coach and badly parked cars, but otherwise no problems. The main coast road is wide enough for HGVs in both directions without difficulty.

The main road from Calvi to Corte we didn't use, but looks OK on the Michelin map. If you're really worried, try looking at the road on Google maps using Street View.

Regards,

Doctor (musical, not medical) Roy

It's fine, one of the better roads, drivers are crazy all over the island though!
