Petrol Station Calais - Rouen

I was wanting to know the best (a balance of price and convenience) petrol station on the road from Calais to Rouen. I frequently use the Auchun at the back of the Chunnel but this is fiddly and I would prefer to get a few miles down the road. Travelling on a Sunday which might make a difference.

Personally I doubt you'll beat Auchan for price or convenience without going well out of your way. I'm puzzled as to why you think Auchan is "fiddly", one of the better filling stations IMHO.

Also, as it's Sunday you'll find most of the cheaper outlets closed, especially after lunch.

Help someone out when they're in trouble and they'll remember you when they're in trouble again.

the leclerc at the bottom of the hill as you come off the free autoroute at Boulogne is good, they have LPG there as well (I think?). Pretty sure they have auto pumps for out of hours / sunday.

As far as I know, the only motorhoming Oxford United supporter in Felpham.

Carrefour, Rue de Paris, Montreuil sur Mer on the D901 at co-ords 50.448494 1.749905

Go past Montreuil and you will see the back of the supermarket on your righthand side. Open 24/7

Always use the Auchan as well. It has the pay by card lanes which I always use as it is so easy to exit but I do have a French Euro bank account. Dont forget they have a borne as well. We use diesel of course.

Our normal first stop for fuel after arriving in France is the Auchan near Boulogne but not the one mentioned above.

We leave the A16 at J31 signed for N42 St. Omer

After leaving the autoroute and on the N42 take the first slip and to the Commercial centre where the Auchan fuel is in the first area you come to.

There's an area of card pumps with a row of 'cash at the kiosk' too.
It's then back to the autoroute and the payage to Abbeville.

We find that filling up there gets us south of Orleans and almost to Vierzon to our next fill up at Salbris.

We normally use the Intermarche north of Abbeville.

Heading south on the A15 exit at J23(Abbeville), or if using the D1001, turn left on to the D928 to the 1st roundabout then turn right on to the Route D'Hesdin, the petrol station is down on the right. Return the same way and join the A28.

Hope this helps.
