What sports do you do?

What kind of sports are you into?

You see things as they are and ask, "Why?" I dream things as they never were and ask, "Why not?" (G. B. Shaw)

By the time I've got out of bed (thank you pacemaker for getting me through another night) taken the early morning heart tablet, walked down stairs, made a cup of tea and had my Weetabix and welcomed the Wife back from walking the dog I often put my mind to wondering what sport I can do each day.

And then it crosses my mind that I can't actually do any of the Sports I once was capable of.

If you'd asked the question about 60 years ago I could have given you a list.

Football, cricket, tennis, fives, badminton, athletics, cross country running, rounders and chess come to mind as Sports that I undertook.

At the present time?

Well, I can manage the Chess Ö...

Hope this helps.

None now

Used to swim daily, often twice daily

On my way to and from work

Now I canít really be bothered , I no longer drive anyway

I canít walk far, can no longer balance on a bicycle , canít lift my feet high enough to get on it without it falling over, and me with it , and once down Iím like a beached whale, I struggle to get back up , joints and leg muscles are crap, and I panic

Iím hoping an electric tricycle will give me a new lease of life

It wonít fall over, I wonít fall off it, at least not easily , and with the help of electric Iím hoping it will slowly build up my leg muscles in spite of my painful joints

And most importantly I can regain the sense of freedom and visit some places , especially when we travel in the MH

One or two miles away might as well be twenty , even Busses often involve a walk either side

And you have to get back again

Any with an engine in it more or less.
