Ball tampering Aussies get their comeuppance!

The outcome of the 3rd SA vs Australia cricket test this afternoon proves the old adage "Cheaters Never Prosper".

But what an embarrassing situation - what were they thinking???? What was the imperative to take such a risk. Money?? A big bonsella for winning the series causing a serious lack of discrimination when that appeared to be heading over the Blue Hills???????????

Have they never watched cricket on TV and seen that that zoooooooom lens can count the freckles on their whatsits.

News reports say Australia is outraged, including the PM, and a delegation will be here tomorrow to investigate and heads (how many?) will surely roll.

One match ban and loss of one match's money seems very lenient.

All those who were involved or knew of the deceit beforehand, players and management, should have been sacked, sent home in disgrace and banned for a considerable time.

And I am unanimous in that .....

IMO cheats should get the same outcome irrespective of which sport.....

Think back to Maria Sharapove found to have cheated through the use of a specific drug - banned for 2 years

Shane Warne found to have used a diuretic = baned for 1 year

Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif found to have used nandrolone - banned for 2 years

Martina Hingis - found to have used cocaine - banned for 2 years

There are many others and I believe all cheats in sport should be treated the same - a 2 year ban.

Those two shoudl be stopped from participation immediately leaving their team two short.

Remember Jo Cox and what she stood for.

Any comments above are only MY OPINION and should be read as that.

The only fair punishment is that Australia is banned from test cricket for a year. This will send a clear message to the world that we want to watch sport not cheaters.

I'm not signing anything.

The two impulses in travel are to get away from home, and the other is to pursue something - a landscape, people, an exotic place. Certainly finding a place that you like or discovering something unusual is a very sustaining thing in travel.

I think the perpetrators of this Crime should be sent to a Commonwealth Penal Colony such as Austral.............

Am I being cynical when I say the great crime is being caught. Such seems to be the climate in much of "sport" at professional level these days.

Loved the story of the young lad who asked Lyons the Aussi spinner for his autograph. He then produced a sheet of sandpaper for him to write it on. Lyons turned him down but had a big smile when he did.

According to the BBC the Aussies Board has deselected the Captain Vice Captain and the cheat himself all are going home other sanctions may follow.

They supposedly were the only one's involved or aware.....

Other good fairy tales are available from Enid Blyton (that part was me not the BBC) but it seemed appropriate....

otherwise why suggest other sanctions may follow.......?
