Can't say - I think we get it with our mother's milk, and long, long histories...

I must add that when I visited Culloden this year I was very pleasantly surprised to find that it was billed very much as a civil war rather than the Scots against 'thae Sassenachs'.

But was that history written by the winners or just a politically correct interpretation.

Now, Now, jo don't be like that.

I refer you to the thread 'French sport in an English setting' when this question was asked,

"French wiki is quite different.
I know of Boules Breton and Boules Lyonnaises , but you would never call the game of petanque, boules.

So in England, do they toss ?"

I resisted the obvious answer!

Still unsure who he's beaten to get to No1, seems someone has had a couple of off days and there was no one else to hand it to!

Let's face it no matter where these Grand Slams are held it's the same faces that turn up.

I think the world seeding comes from an accumulation of results over the year, rather than a single match.

Oooh, what a grunge-merchant!

Probably the same faces cos they're the ones at the top of the tree at the moment.

[QUOTE=jiwawa;2325561]Oooh, what a grunge merchant.

Don't think so, I just think it's such a limited field the same four names over the past few years with the odd person popping up now and again.

Tennis is an elitist sport in order to move through the amateur ranks it cost a considerable amount of money and support and being close to a true training facility.
