Le Mans 2015

Hi,

anybody else going to the greatest motor race in the world??

We're camped on Blue Nord this year as we couldn't get onto Maison Blanch this year We're on plot AD29. Drop by for cold beer or glass of wine.

Cheers

I so want to do this

This year we are going to Spa F1 GP

Last year was Monaco F1

2013 we went to Barcelona F1

Been to Silverstone too many times!

My wife hates racing but I love it - if there is nice shopping to be had she will come with me LOL

Please tell me they have lots of non motor racing retail therapy at Le Mans - somehow I doubt it

Maybe we need to make a Le Mans mandating sub forum where all men with non motor racing wives can arrange secret weekend away!

Enjoy your trip you lucky bugger

Spa is one of the best F1 circuits, though it is away from civilisation, so be prepared for relaxing evenings gazing at lovely scenery.
Wanted to go to Austrian F1 this year but couldn't arrange the trip in time.
Le Mans is becoming very organised as far as the camping is concerned and has lost it's rough edges, but still a good event.
As for it being the greatest motor race in the World!!!.............Hmmmmmmm....F1, Nascar, GP2, Touring Cars, World Rally Cars, Paris - Dakar.........etc!!!

The shopping in Le Mans itself is very good and some really nice restaurants. Does that help

none of those can hold a candle to Le Mans; then again doing it is better than watching, anywhere - I have 2 x 40 minute races at Spa in 3 weeks' time (and the car's not ready yet, gulp).

Personally I consider it to be the greatest event. A big party with motor racing and the multiple classes within the same race ensure there is always something happening.

This will be my 7th year on the trot. However next year I've agreed to go to the TT instead so I'll need to start researching and booking that soon.

Cheers

You'll find the TT very similar in atmosphere and spectacle to Le Mans but with fewer restriction on spectating and camping.

Yes Pete.
There are dozens of 'Car parks' and many motorhomes park up in them. Some for days on end.
Much cheaper than the so called camping areas.
