Insulation / Windscreen covers - Thermal Imaging

I did a Thermal Image Survey of our Van to see how good (or bad) the insulation is and the difference in heat loss between Internal and External Windscreen covers.

Thought others may find it useful

Thanks, very informative, I've often wondered what if any provable difference screen covers make.

Oddly though, you show 3 posts, but I could only find this one.

You haven't mentioned which Motorhome you are testing.

It would have been nicer to listen to without the background noise.

Yes Pudsey, funny it says 3 posts, but there's only one

Hi both!

Thanks for the feedback - not sure what the issue is with the post count, my previous posts could have been some years ago. I joined back in 2011, but have only just got back the time to start involving myself in the Selfbuild / Motorhome community a bit more.

The van is a selfbuild Iveco Daily XLWB. You can see a bit more info in this video
.

JanHank - again thanks for taking the time to subscribe to my channel and your feedback - hopefully planning to stay as involved as time allows. *

Ah, didn't realise it was a self build, I really enjoyed doing mine, dunno if you've found this site yet, https://motorhomebuilder.com/ but there are some good chaps n chapesses on there, it's fairly new since the previous site was suddenly closed and not all the old members have found it yet, but this one is owned by the same bloke who owns and runs https://www.wildcamping.co.uk/ so in very safe hands for the future.

This background music/noise is very prevalent on YouTube and spoils so many otherwise interesting videos, and turning the sound down is often not an option if there is narration too, that and click bait it ruining it for everyone.

It is also widespread on TV/film, yes let us have some, but you have to be able to hear the actors/action too.

Sorry, it was that bad! I'll try playing with the levels a bit more in future videos.

It's a hard call to make, as there is definitely polarised audience opinion.

Having done videos on a different channel without any backing music the conclusion was that they were a little "monotone", "boring" just with narration.

I'll keep a track on feedback and see if we can find a happy medium.

Cheers

Mike
