Search not working?

There is a search box in the top right but when I try and use this I get a 404 error saying page not found. This happens whatever search terms I put in so I guess it means that the link to the search engine is not working?

Try Tools _ Advanced search. That usually works.

Brexiters. It's your sh1t now. Whatever happens nationally and internationally you own it. I wish you luck. I think you're going to need all you can get and then some. Friday 13th December 2019.

Works for me if I select 'VB search' i.e search on the forum. If I select google search it gives the error.

OK I didn't realise that there was another search engine. But the VB search seems to be working but only insofar as it does something. The problem is that when I put in a search term it just seems to show every post to the site not jsut posts with the search term I entered.

On the dark band near the top of the page to the right hand side. Tools.

I put in the search term e.g 'service indicator reset' with the words separated by a + sign i.e. 'service + indicator + reset'. This ensures that the search must include all words otherwise it will search for any or all of the words individually. Hope that makes sense??

OK I just did that now with 'brittany+ferries' and I get hundreds of posts on all sorts of topics. Now maybe somebody has used that exact phrase in a post somewhere in a thread but seems unlikely when there are threads on Brexit, Jeremy Corbyn, and pretty much every other subject you could mention. I'll try advanced search next and see how I get on. Thanks again for your help.

So the advanced search seems to be the best option. Thanks for all the help.

Looks like the google search isn't working.

We'll report this.
