What is this - it is slowing down page loading

I am finding that MHF pages are loading at the speed of a paralysed snail on crutches and it seems to be due to it waiting for; "syndication.twitter.com"

Does anyone have any idea what this is whether I can opt out of it or is it embedded with MHF/ VS now.....

I have never used Twitter in my life and have no intention of dong so but seem to be being hampered by this process.

Thoughts please ?

That could be a bit of malware or a PUP (Potentially unwanted program) on your PC Dave possibly trying to redirect your browser. Maybe run malwarebytes through it or something similar if you have it https://www.malwarebytes.com/

Its worth remembering that for any bugs or issues you can email VS directly at sitedown@verticalscope.com I have been emailing them regularly when threads go out of sync and you cant get to the last page. I generally get a pretty fast response. It might be worth emailing them first as it could be legit I dunno.

Apparently it's a particularly unpleasant hijacker that will attempt to divert your browser, change your registry and do all sorts of unpleasant things, one of the less harmful being to slow down your browser. There are all sorts of solutions offered online, many of them wanting to charge and / or download things themselves.

If it's only recently manifested itself then, depending what operating system you are running, I would do a System Restore. Malwarebytes or similar should also be able to help as has been suggested.
