Electric folding bike

I have a AS cycle folding electric bike. Its about 8 years old I think and still works as a cycle but the battery requires a bit of attention. Some of the cells need replacing. They are standard nicads and just need snipping out and soldering in. It is a bit scratched as a result of being squeezed under the seat of a bessacar 560. I have the charger. I live in cumbria and durham so is available at either location. I'll try to take a photo later.
On closer inspection I am willing to give the bike away for free to a good home lol.
It has been under the decking of my static for the past year and rust has set in. It will need eg a new chain as its a bit stiff
Somebody might like it as a project

Replacement battery packs are available off EBay, not cheap but much cheaper than a new bike is.

I have replaced the batteries on both my leccy bikes over the last three years, the new batteries hold a charge FAAAR longer than the originals ever did. Just be sure to get the right size (physical not Capacity wise) I needed to alter the carrier on one of mine by about 10 cm AND reverse the polarity output terminals, not difficult but something to be aware MIGHT need to be done.

Its not the destination that matters.

It's who you share the journey with (even if like me, its in a caravan!)
I am very fortunate to have Mrs Plodd to share mine with
