Farewell Our Crackle 5/10/96 - 27/3/12

Well just 5 weeks after losing our Tazzy we have sadly had to say goodbye to our gorgeous Crackle. Unlike Taz her mind was good but her body let her down and we had to make the dreadful call yesterday. She missed Taz so much and she seemed to have lost her sparkle after he left.
She was a fantastic girl with the most gentle loving nature you can imagine. In her earlier years she was a real Houdini, escaping from all of our gardens. We used to live on the outskirts of Devizes backing on to the towpath and she regularly escaped - one time we got a call from a shop in the town centre and once from a lady who had found her in her kitchen eating her dogs breakfast. Her major adventure was on the morning of Princess Dianas death when she ran off in a thunderstorm and was not found until 10pm that night. It had rained all day but she was almost spotless - never knew where she had been.
We will so miss her cuddles and her Goldie smile but , as my mum said, hopefully there was much excitement at the rainbow bridge yesterday when her and Taz were reunited.
We on the otherhand don't know what to do with ourselves - really rubbish 5 weeks.

Personal Aire
We know the gaping hole that is left when you lose your best friend. People who don't have a dog are unlikely to understand how great the loss can be.
Life will get better - just give it time.

So sorry for your loss especially so soon after losing Taz.

Crackle seems to have lead an adventurous life and given her love and been loved greatly in return.

You will have some lovely memories to look back on and smile once the heartache has eased.

Run free at the Rainbow bridge Crackle and I hope you are romping with Taz (Tazzy).

there is no answer

you will miss her and Tazzy with pain

until in time you begin to think of them with gratitude

and then with smiles for all the happy memories

and then you will know for ever the gift that they have left with you

been there several times and have such warm memories of my boys

Thanks for all your kind words. Need to get away from this too quiet house. Think we will head over to France next week to try to regroup.
