Send a message via MSN to Snelly
With the severe weather we are due tomorrow, there could be more people suffering from damage like that.

Moral of story... don't park under tree's in a gale.

Prompted by this sight in Tuesdays Lynn News and the pending storms/gales, I moved ours off the hardstanding out of harms way this morning! Reday for the "off" to North Norfolk this weekend!

Living in a wood, surrounded by massive trees, we have little choice regarding parking.... Unless we parked about 1/2 mile away and blocked up the roads
We just pay the policy and pray........

Having made my original post about a crushed motorhome in our area (King's Lynn), I got a call from my partner yesterday afternoon to say "don't panic, the van is OK but...........". We have a large old sycamore tree in our back garden - operative word being "had". It is now strewn across the width of the garden having demolished the pergola, various chairs, pots & fences + the neighbours greenhouse has no glass left - luckily their oil tank appears to heve remained unscathed - but it clipped their garage roof.

It could have been a lot worse - if it had fallen 90 degrees differently, it would have hit our house!!!

I'm just about to ring the Insurance company!

Any one want some firewood!
