Help please. Rapido 776FF - External Temperature Display

At the end of April, I purchased a brand new Rapido 776FF motorhome built on a Fiat Ducato chassisfrom Brownhills in Newark. When I drove it home for the first time, I am convinced that the external temperature was shown in the bottom left hand corner of the dashboard multifunction display screen, as shown in the Fiat Owner Handbook that came with the vehicle.

The external temperature is not displayed now. I reported this as a fault and returned the vehicle to the dealers for repair but Brownhills insist that this motorhome has no external temperature sensor or display. In support of this they showed me a brand new Swift motorhome on the same chassis, whose external sensor was located on the underside of the driver's door mirror, which is where they normally expect to find it and pointed out that my motorhome did not have anything in this location. Is my memory playing tricks on me or have Brownhills got it wrong? Can anyone with the same motorhome tell me if their vehicle displays the external temperature and, if it does, where the sensor is located if known?

Help please. Rapido 776FF - External Temperature Display

Thanks Mearsy.

Having made further enquiries this morning through Fiat, I have discovered that they make different chassis versions for different markets and the one for France, where my Rapido was built, does not have an external temperature display. The owner handbook that I have is in English but apparently is the one for Ducatos manufactured for conversion in the UK, which do have an external temperature display rather than an english translation of the French owner handbook, which would not have shown an external temperature display!

My memory has obviously played tricks on me - a senior moment!

We have a Rapido. Ours is on the 160 chassis with automatic and maxi chassis. Ordered in Germany but we DO have the outside temp gauge and an English manual

I think you will find that if you have Climate control you will have an outside temp sensor. If you have Air con then you will not have outside temp. The sensor is in the mirror
