I can't help either - but I am now also interested in the area. May I add a question on to your thread? (in case someone knowledgeable does come along)
On this page (http://www.kinderdijk.org/ ) it mentions that the windmills are lit up in the 2nd full week of September - so could I assume this would be from the 14th? Is it worth seeing them during this week?
Hey TM
did you go?
we are off to Holland this weekend, having seen your post with simandme link with all the windmills, looks like somewhere we will be seeing, there is an aire in Gouda that's not far so looks plan, but as you know everything can change when on the move,

Not hijacking thread but have some information on another windmill site.
Believe it or not it is in lower saxony Germany at a place called Gifhorn
16 Full size windmills plus a Russian orthodox church all collected from around the world on this 40 acre site plus museum.
The Aire at alblasserdam 5km away from Kinderdijk is not my cup of tea. Rather pay €5 more and have Facilities and EHU in the countryside.
But, good of you to suggest it.
